Click PetalImage color picker & palette extractor

Herbarium rules

Privacy

The short version: your images and colors stay in your browser.

Your images

Images you drop, paste or choose are decoded and read by your browser on your own device. They are never uploaded to Click Petal or anyone else, and they are gone when you close or reload the page. The same goes for the colors you type into the name finder and every palette, gradient and simulation the tools produce: downloads are created in your browser and saved straight to your device.

What is stored on your device

Two things are saved in your browser's local storage, only on the device you are using: your light or dark theme choice, and the colors in the color picker's tray (as HEX codes, so they survive a reload). They are never sent anywhere. The tray's Clear button removes the colors, and clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes both.

Cookies, accounts and ads

There are none. There is no sign-up, no advertising and no tracking across other sites.

Page-view counts

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which our host Cloudflare adds to each page, to count page views. It does not use cookies or track you across sites, and it never receives what you type, paste or drop into the tools.

Links to other sites

Pages link to sources such as the W3C and IEEE, to the color-name-list project, to sister sites and to two recommended services, CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link.
