About Click Petal

A small herbarium of color tools for pictures: pick a pixel, press out a palette, name a shade, see an image through other eyes, and lift a gradient from a photo.

How it works

Every tool runs in your browser. When you drop, paste or choose an image, your browser decodes it and the page reads its pixels on your own device; nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to make. Once a page has loaded it keeps working offline. The palette extractor does its clustering in a background thread so the page stays responsive, and the color name lists ship with the site rather than being looked up online.

What it is built on

Honest limits

The tools read the sRGB version of your image that the browser produces, so wide-gamut photos are converted first. The color blindness simulator is a model for design checks, not a diagnosis. If something looks wrong, the privacy page explains exactly what the site stores and what it never sees.

Who runs it

Click Petal is an independent site with no ads, no sign-up and no tracking cookies. It counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and never receives your images or anything you type.
